Tennis courts or car parks?

Next week WDC Executive will discuss a proposal to close the tennis courts in Christchurch Gardens and convert them, permanently, to 80 car park spaces, together with proposals for further permanent car parking (many next to Victoria Park) in Leamington.  The discussion will be at Leamington Town Hall, Wednesday 7th February, starting 6pm.
On the previous evening (6th) the WDC Overview and Scrutiny Committee will also discuss these proposals, again at the Town Hall and starting 6pm.

The public may listen to, but not join in, these discussions.

Andrew Thompson is one of the councillors for Newbold Ward containing Christchurch Gardens and a member of the Executive Committee.  Jane Knight is one of the councillors for Clarendon Ward containing Victoria Park and a member of Overview and Scrutiny committee.

If you feel strongly about the proposals you are encouraged to attend the meetings, both if possible, to demonstrate that you care.  Alternatively write to or email your ward councillor in advance of the meetings.
